Year 4's Entrepreneur Morning

The children in Year 4 were challenged by their teachers to turn a £10 investment into profits for the school's charity, SOS Children's Villages.

All the companies have worked hard to put together their own identity, advertising campaign and product/service (see the advertising here: http://prezi.com/m65a-neyaslm/?utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=copy&rc=ex0share).  The children then approached their sales to the parents with enthusiasm and fun on Saturday, whilst maintaining high levels of behaviour.  This is evidenced in the feedback from parents, who commented:

All the teams did an excellent job and they should all be commended.

Parents and children loved this event - such fun and great initiative and charity benefitting hugely from the profits made. Well done!

What a fun time we had! Thought the popcorn was a little bit pricey. Regret that we didn't get our car washed - it was excellent value! Thoroughly enjoyed watching the children sell their products and work as a team.

In their final week the children used Microsoft Excel to present their accounts.  The profits were then combined and the total amount raised for the school charity was £468.47, a brilliant effort!
